Path of Peace: A Journey of Reflection and Healing

It all begins with an idea.

At Vision Landscape and Design, we believe landscapes are more than just outdoor spaces—they are experiences. They tell stories, inspire movement, and foster connection. One of our most meaningful projects so far has been working with Tom Rollings to bring his vision of a meditative and reflective space to life.

Tom’s dream is simple but profound: a place where people can walk, think, and heal. A place where nature becomes a partner in introspection. His property now features an expansive 2,000-foot elliptical spiral trail known as the "Path of Peace." Carefully designed for comfort and tranquility, the trail is lined with gravel for durability and softened with wood chips to create a natural, grounded experience.

A Space for Healing and Community

Beyond the Path of Peace, Tom’s land is evolving into a true sanctuary. At the end of the trail, visitors arrive at a spirit kiva, a sacred space designed for the release of thoughts, feelings, and emotions to the universe. After this process, they move to the meditation deck, a place for contemplation, introspection, and connection with the self and the universe. The basic journey invites visitors to walk the path, gather a thought or feeling, release it in the kiva pit, and then reflect on the experience at the deck. Every walk is unique, without boundaries or rules, offering a deeply personal and transformative experience.

Adding to this vision, a lodge is also being constructed on the land, serving as a future space for community gatherings, workshops, and housing for those in need. Even though the project is still in progress, the space is already being used, reflecting a deep communal and spiritual need for what is being created here.

Vision, Community, and Growth

For us at Vision Landscape and Design, this project represents more than just a completed trail. It’s an opportunity to contribute to something lasting, something that will serve the community for years to come. We are also partnering with our in-house videography team to document the journey—showcasing the process, the vision, and the transformation.

Follow the Journey

We will be updating this space with more details as the project progresses. If you’re interested in learning more, visiting the Path of Peace, or exploring ways to create your own sanctuary, reach out to us.

This is just the beginning. The landscape is always evolving—just like us.
